MDG website on BBC

The MDG Monitor website developed by 15 minutes media was recently showcased on a debate broadcast on BBC. The BBC taped a 40 minute panel discussion at the United Nations focusing on the Millennium Development Goals. Zeynab Badawi hosted this "BBC World Debate" with the participation of the Secretary-General, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf of Liberia, President Michelle Bachelet of Chile, Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg of Norway, Bill Gates of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Salil Shetty of the Millennium Campaign. It was a very spirited and focused conversation on the need for better government, more resources and decisive action to achieve the MDGs in the time left.

This partnership with a major world broadcaster is an important tool in our continuing advocacy on the MDGs. Watch the debate here

Martha Walker makes Small Screen Debut

It seems that Martha Walker just cannot stay out of the news. After receiving great reviews and being in several gallery shows, Martha Walker has moved to the small screen. Two of her sculptures were featured on 2 episodes of the hit show "Gossip Girl". There is a great article about her "tv appearance" and a link to the site 15 minutes media developed!

Don't miss Martha Walker's sculpture on the popular T.V. show, Gossip Girls in the upcoming episode airing on Wednesday, January 9th, 2008 at 9:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. central time. Two of her sculptures, Hope and T'Kiyyah, Sound of the Shofar were chosen by the art director as props for a scene in a trendy New York City art gallery.

United Nations - MDG Monitor
The United Nations came to 15 minutes media with a common problem: How to present lots of varied content in a clear, easy to navigate format. Geared to both the general public and members of the press, the MDG Monitor needed to appeal to a vast international audience. Add to that a very tight deadline. We developed an organized information architecture and designed a website incorporating their existing logo and icons. We programmed the website with up-to-the-minute newsfeeds, statistics and data as well as an interactive flash map. On November 1, Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, along with representatives from Google and Cisco, launched the website at a UN press conference. We are honored to have been a part of this monumental and important project!

15 minutes media launches UN website for the Millennium Development Goals Monitor

15 minutes media is please to announce the launch of the MDG Monitor website, and initiative of the United Nations. The website monitors how countries are progressing in their efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. 15 minutes media created the website design and was involved in the programming and Flash application. The website features interactive maps, country profiles and up to the minute news from around the world.
